George Cameron – Lead Vocals and Mandolin

George hails from Manassas, Virginia and has been belting out tunes
for over 40 years. He excels in the genres of Rock and Blues but has a voice
and passion for Country Music.
“Big G”, as he’s known to his friends, started out when he was very young
singing and performing. He sounds just like Kenny Rogers or Bob Seger and
can sing practically anything.
There is no better fit than the style of “Big G” for The LowDown!

George moved to Canada in 2008
and now calls Chilliwack, BC home.

Jim Cassidy – Guitar and Vocals

Jim was first inspired to pursue guitar from his exposure to the Beatles as their music still moves him today. In the early years Jim’s main focus was straight up rock covering bands like Grand Funk Railroad, Black Sabbath and
Jimi Hendrix to name a few. After hooking up with some more professional musicians Jim started playing everything from Tower of Power to the Doobie Brothers and anythingin between.

For a number of years he switched gears and started playing Progressive and Classical Rock focusing on bands such as Yes, Gentle Giant and Focus. Born and raised in Moncton, NB, Jim played professionally all over the Maritimes for 12 years before packing up and moving to BC. Here he joined forces with local musicians and formed the rock band Crisis. Crisis covered mainly top 40 rock by bands like Cheap Trick, Van Halen, Toto, Lynard Skynard and many others.

Jim started working with the band in October of 2014 and has been Rockin’ ever since and enjoying
every minute of it.
Jim is a perfectionist at his craft and is a very welcome member of The LowDown!

Randy Krochak – Drums and Percussion

Randy’s dad, Curly West (stage name) asked Randy at a young age. “Son what musical instrument do you want to play?” Curly was a Vancouver favorite in the Country music circles for his steel guitar and fiddle playing, so needless to say the answer “rock and
roll drummer” was not his first choice for his son,
but he went along with it.

Drums have always been a part of Randy’s life since then and he loves being a student of the instrument. Through the 80’s Randy cut his teeth performing often 5 or 6 nights a week in many original and cover bands throughout Vancouver. Having played over a  decade of music Randy decided it was time to switch gears, get an education, start afamily and his own business which also utilizes his creativity in many other ways.
Now… Randy is back on the drum throne again, and could not be more happy about it.

“Coming back to the scene as a more mature person,
drummer, artist, and musician is such a great
opportunity and I am so happy to be doing it with a
great band like The Lowdown”

Craig Michaud – Bass Guitar and Vocals

Craig picked up his first bass at the young age of 16 and has been relentlessly perfecting his skills since then.
His passion for bass guitar runs deep and it is clearly evident in his playing and on-stage performance.

Music in general inspired him right from the cradle.
In his teens, some of the bands that got his attention were bands like Van Halen, KISS, Streetheart and Motown music was one of his favs.
And now, the music that draws Craig in is pretty much anything with a groove.

Craig Michaud IS the definition of team player. If there is any band work to be done, he is always front and center and does not walk away until the work is 100% completed. His attitude towards The LowDown is second to none.

Craig is a very valuable, welcomed and appreciated member of the band
and what he brings to the table is top shelf.

Cesar Madrigal – Guitar

Cesar Madrigal was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, a city fullof talented and inspiring musicians.
He started playing guitar at age 15 during his last year  of high school, but his real love for the guitar was borne after going to a concert of one of the locals bands. Cesar sees the guitar as an expression of music more than just an instrument and for that reason decided to learn as many genres as possible and to be as versatile as possible.
Rock was his first genre of exploration with a hint of progressive and powerful metal with a curiosity towards improvisation. Later on while going to music school, jazz took a very big piece of his guitar style.
Moving to Canada was a big change for Cesar, and gave him the amazing opportunity to assist at Capilano University and learn from some of the most respected and talented musicians in the country.

Now with The LowDown, Cesar wants to bring his unique
South American flavor to the classic songs we all fell in love with.
